Wesbrook is a play-based preschool that values community and parent involvement and recognizes the important role that family plays in a child’s early development. Our 2’s program is a space where children gain rich experiences in all areas of early development in a safe environment, and a space for parents to connect with other parents and be part of a community.
The program is flexible and based on the needs and interests of the individual children as well as those of the group. Children are encouraged to explore all areas of the classroom throughout the class. Teachers plan learning invitations as well as facilitate spontaneous learning through play.
Program information:
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 – 11 a.m. (2 hours)
- Choice to attend 1, 2, 3, or 4 days per week (availability permitting)
- Parents stay with their children during the class
- Children must be 18 months of age before September 30th of the school year
- Maximum 10 children per class to ensure space and comfort
- Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s class is with Teacher Randi
- Thursday’s class is with Teacher Debra (with a music focus)
- Class takes place in the 2’s Room
Routine
- Free play in the classroom (with rotating play invitations)
- Group time with songs and stories
- Clean up time
- Snack time
- Good-bye group time
