Wesbrook Preschool was decorated in cobwebs, spiders, and monsters for the big Pumpkin Carving Day Potluck. The children from the 2s, 3s, and 4s got together bringing in the pumpkins they gathered themselves earlier in the week during a field trip to a local pumpkin patch.
The children got to work together with the parents to carve their favourite cut-out image or face into their pumpkin. Once everyone completed their pumpkins it was time to light them up with some battery operated candles for the big group picture.
It was a great social event and gave the parents to get to know each other more. The kids had a great time enjoying the preschool during a weekend and sat for a Halloween-themed story as the parents worked as a team to clean up.
The parent participation preschool community is a wonderful thing to be part of. Come to our OPEN HOUSE on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10am to 12noon to meet some current parents and learn more about this wonderful part-time preschool. We are still accepting applications for start in January 2017. Click on the “HOME” menu button above for more information.
